We are currently seeking an Certified After-School Tutor for Campbellton Elementary School. The hours will be Monday for 1 hour from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. October 28th - March 24th. The pay is $31.85 per hour.

POSITION SUMMARY (Primary purpose of job)
The After-school Tutoring Teacher will work with students in a one-on-one or small group environment. Eligible students exhibit the need for additional instruction and practice specifically in the broad areas of reading and/or math.
SPHERE AND SCOPE OF INFLUENCE (Supervisory scope, district impact and budgetary responsibility)
Teachers are responsible for supervising students,implementation of the District curriculum and assessment plan, and utilizing resources accordingly. Input and collaboration toward these efforts is critical as well as communicating with parents, patrons, and other stakeholders to advance the District vision, mission, and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Major duties which the position exists to perform)
- Provide direct instruction to identified and/or participating students
- Create lesson plans and instructional activities designed to improve student outcomes
- Use resources such as Comprehension Toolkit and other resources provided for customized lessons and activities
- Communicate with multiple stakeholders regarding student needs and progress
- Be available for additional training in content areas, intervention instruction, and other areas as directed and/or as needed
- Develop specific goals for each student and design instruction accordingly
- Regular and reliable attendance as it alligns to the scope of this position.
OTHER DUTIES (duties which the incumbent can be expected to perform)
- Utilize formative assessments in an ongoing way to inform instruction
- Use appropriate resources and/or required documents in order to show student progress
- Provide administrators with progress documents as requested and/or required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise students at all times and/or as directed by supervisor
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (Minimum educational requirements, licenses, skills and experience required as well as preferred options)
Bachelor Degree or higher and Valid Missouri Teaching Certification preferred
Substitute Certification and/or paraprofessional credentials may be considered appropriate for some groups
